Property Claim Basics: Smoke Damage Mitigation looks at the top causes of accidental fires and the difference between simple and complex fires.  It examines what smoke is, the different types of smoke and their effects on various building materials and household contents. It identifies the benefits of mitigation, the at-risk surfaces and priorities in minimizing further damage as well as the factors for successful mitigation and cleaning. An overview of the cleaning process and odour control methods such as hydroxl and ozone are also discussed.
