TJ Jones

headshot
Vice President
PYIB

Growing up, I was never sure about what career path I wanted take, however I always enjoyed building connections with people and making new friends. Sales became natural for me and slowly I grew passionate about learning the intricacies of human connection, short term relationship building and nonverbal communication.

For eight years, I built my career knocking doors, cold calling, and training others to do the same. That hands-on experience laid a strong foundation in direct marketing, which later proved instrumental in the success of my own entrepreneurial venture. Growing a business through direct marketing showed me just how powerful and versatile these strategies are—regardless of industry.

Now, after eight years in the insurance industry, I've found that the communication and relationship-building skills I developed through direct marketing translate seamlessly into insurance and can elevate performance in every role.

Applying these principles in my current position has helped me achieve Presidents Club honors in consecutive years and, most recently, earn the trust of my peers by being elected Vice President of the PYIB.

Through this course, I’m excited to share the insights, experiences, and lessons I’ve gained—not only from the field, but also from exceptional life coaches and mentors who’ve shaped my journey.
