I began my sales career at just 16, selling door-to-door security systems. By 18, I was already managing, hiring, and training a team of six salespeople. At 19, I transitioned into the insurance industry, where I spent three successful years specializing in Personal, and Commercial insurance before making another career shift. My entrepreneurial spirit has been a driving force throughout my career. At 16, I launched my first business in the pet industry and sold it at 19 to a company still thriving today in Calgary. After my initial stint in insurance, I took a break to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures. I invested in landscaping equipment and returned to direct marketing to build a successful landscaping business, which I managed from ages 22 to 29. Running a landscaping company was physically demanding, and by 29, I was ready to return to insurance. I joined BrokerLink, sold off my landscaping contracts, and gradually phased out my equipment. BrokerLink has provided me with excellent opportunities for growth and I have consistently achieved Presidents Club status each year. In 2021 I was elected Director of the PYIB and currently serve as Education Chair on the board of directors. I’m excited to share the insights and experiences I’ve accumulated over the years, along with the valuable lessons I’ve learned from exceptional life coaches, throughout this course.
