Study material will consist primarily of the AIC Level 2 textbook. After advancing to the Level 2 license you will produce new business for the brokerage and manage existing clients.

Study material will consist primarily of the AIC Level 2 textbook. After advancing to the Level 2 license you will produce new business for the brokerage and manage existing clients. In addition to personal lines insurance, you could be involved in commercial or specialty lines of insurance or a combination of both. While a Level 3 is ultimately responsible for the overall management and supervision of a brokerage, as a Level 2 broker you may undertake various management and supervisory responsibilities and can act without supervision.

AIC Exam

IBAA provides insurance courses and study material. For the exam, register with the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC). AIC needs your CIPR #, so if you don't have one, obtain it first from the Canadian Insurance Participant Registry.

To write the Level 1 Licensing exam you will be required to complete the GLQP exam found in the Litmos online tool provided after registering.
