In your personal statement you must describe:
- Why you are seeking a career in insurance, and how you see the certification program assisting in you accomplishing those goals.
- Your financial need. What circumstances prevent you from paying for this program on your own?
- Transferable skills you have obtained in other industries (e.g., customer service, analytical skills, math, communication, sales)
Additionally, priority or consideration may be given to people from underserved or underrepresented demographics. Please be sure to include any relevant factors to be considered.

The CAIB Bursary is only available to those who fit all of the terms of eligibilty. By completing this form, and submitting it for consideration you must understand and agree to the following:
- I am 18 years or older.
- I have completed a high school education, or the equivalent to that, and have provided proof of completion.
- I do not currently work for a brokerage, or I work for a brokerage with fewer than 25 brokers.
- I agree to complete this program within one full year from my start-date.
- I agree to provide progress updates to the IBAA as requested.
